Shared Short Code

Mobivity is built around the concept of a shared short code. In order to receive messages via SMS from a mobile phone, you need a short code.

A short code is a 5 or 6 digit code that consumers can use to send in text messages. With mobivity, you have access to our short code (95495). You choose keywords that identify you, and when the consumer sends in a message to that keyword, it is routed to you.

Mobivity has many options for how you can respond or process that message. You can run a txt2win contest, or vote, send the consumer a simple text response, or send them to a mobile web site.

Our most flexible option is to use our SMS API This application programming interface allows you to process the incoming messages on your own servers, and provide a response back to the consumer.
